Hi, I'm Jin Park.

Founder & Editorial Lead · ScholarDue

Why ScholarDue exists

Jin is a PhD graduate whose own dissertation cycle spanned more than a dozen conference submissions across top-tier venues. After missing a notification date during the final submission push — buried in an email thread that should have been a calendar alert — Jin started ScholarDue as a weekend project to consolidate every CFP, extension, and deadline shift into one calendar-first interface. Today Jin leads editorial and product for ScholarDue, still personally reviews every new venue that lands on the site, and writes the long-form guides graduate students use to navigate peer review, responding to reviewers, and building an academic CV.

Every venue on ScholarDue is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Deadlines are pulled from official CFPs, cross-checked against conference mailing lists, and re-verified each quarter. When a conference changes dates — which happens constantly — we update the record within 24 hours.

ScholarDue is independent. No pay-to-play listings, no sponsored deadlines, no affiliate markups on the tools page. If a conference is here, it's here because graduate students actually submit to it.

What we care about

Accuracy over coverage

We'd rather list 100 correct deadlines than 1,000 wrong ones. Every record is source-linked.

Graduate students first

Features ship when they help someone submit a paper on time — not when they look good in a screenshot.

No dark patterns

No newsletter popups, no paywalls, no forced sign-ups. The calendar works without an account.

Transparent edits

When we correct a deadline, the change log is visible on every venue page. Nothing gets silently rewritten.

Editorial standards

  • 1Every deadline is sourced from the official CFP or conference website before publication.
  • 2Tier classifications (top / mid / emerging) come from public ranking data (CORE, H5-index) — not editorial opinion.
  • 3Blog posts reflect the author's direct experience with the academic publishing cycle; where claims rest on external data, sources are linked inline.
  • 4Corrections are issued within 24 hours of a verified error report and annotated on the page.
  • 5We do not accept payment for venue listings, tier placement, or blog coverage.
  • 6Tool pages link only to the first-party services; no affiliate or referral redirects.
